I recommend booking your BABY MILESTONE sessionS A FEW MONTHS IN ADVANCE, as I only ACCEPT a limited number of sessions per month to ensure I am able to fully serve my clients!
From those first sleepless days of newborn bliss to their first smile and laugh, the first food, learning to wave, discovering the world around them and often even preparing to take those first steps. Baby Milestone sessions are a shorter (yet still sweet!) session that captures your baby at their next milestone. Most common milestones to document are 4 months when they are starting to smile and show their little personalities and then 8 months, or once baby is sitting up unassisted.
Cake Smash sessions are done around baby's first birthday and are such a fun way to wrap up the first year of their life! Sessions take place in my studio on weekday mornings, they include a simple smash cake and images of just baby alone in 2-3 different outfits, baby (hopefully!) smashing their cake and end with a warm bath in tiny claw foot tub to clean off all that frosting (and capture some more of their cuteness!).
Because my goal is to capture your family’s story, parents are always welcome to hop into some images with their little one. I provide a thoughtful and luxurious portrait experience for the busy, sentimental mom that allows you to focus on the moment rather than the details and stress of planning. The expansive studio wardrobe has so many beautiful options for you to utilize for your session, no need to waste any time trying to find something for everyone to wear.

You will receive a timely response followed by detailed investment information with the option for a phone or in-studio consult. My goal is to provide detailed information on what you can expect throughout the process and answer any questions you have prior to booking, as well as along the way. This complimentary consultation can be done over the phone, FaceTime or in-person at the studio. Coming to my studio allows you to see everything in person including my client wardrobe and props, learn about my safety and infection control policies and allows time for all of your questions. I also get to learn more about you and your vision for your session so that I can better serve you and your family.
CONSULTATION
Once you are ready to book, you will pay the retainer and sign a client agreement to secure your session/due date on my calendar. I provide detailed information along the way to help the process go smoothly and ensure that you feel prepared and excited. You will receive a questionnaire just prior to the session that helps me prepare the studio for the day of based on your preferences. My client wardrobe is available to utilize which eliminates the need for shopping, trying on, returning and unnecessary stress on your end.

Sessions take place at my spacious and private studio where you are invited to come in and relax while the magic happens! My client wardrobe is available to utilize during your session as well as a private dressing room. Everything is prepared in advance for you, there is a cozy sitting area with snacks and refreshments as well as WiFi. Professional on-site hair and makeup is available for an added fee. All sessions are designed so you can just show up and we take care of the rest!
THE SESSION
A sneak peek (or two!) from your session will be shared on my social media pages within two weeks of the session. You are welcome to like, re-post and share them for your family and friends to enjoy! Four weeks after your session, you will receive a downloadable gallery of the fully retouched, beautiful images from your session. Additional images will be available for purchase through my exclusive online shop.

When you receive your final image gallery you will get exclusive access to my online shop to spend your print credit. I work exclusively with professional print labs in order to provide the highest quality products for my clients. I will help you along the way in deciding on what heirloom items would work best for your personal style, home decor and needs. Trust me when I say that you want your memories displayed inside of your home, not just on a hard drive or smart phones!

WHAT ARE THE BEST MILESTONES TO CAPTURE?
After the newborn session, month 4 and month 8 (or whenever baby is sitting up 100% unassisted) are the most common milestones to capture. Truly, any time you feel you want to capture your baby I highly recommend doing so, they grow way too fast!
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY BABY MILESTONE SESSION?
As soon as possible! I take a limited number of sessions per month so I can serve my clients well. Most clients book 2-3 months in advance.
DO YOU SELL JUST THE DIGITAL IMAGES?
All of my collections include a set number of digital images and a print credit. I realize we live in a digital-age so it is my job to show you what archival, heirloom prints and unique artwork look and feel like when you come into my studio. That way, after the session you have a better idea of how you will spend your print credit. Baby's First Year Collective clients join for the beautiful heirloom album that is made after the completion of all the sessions, its the perfect way to remember the first year of your baby's life!
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS ON BOOKING MULTIPLE SESSIONS?
YES! Sessions can be done individually or combined with a generous discount by choosing the Baby's First Year Collective. Most clients planning on more than one sessions opt for the Collective for the amazing savings and discount on the beautiful, heirloom album of images taken over the span of all four sessions.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Absolutely! I realize that a luxury portrait experience is a big investment that many clients will budget and save up for. I can assure you that you will never regret an investment that is preserving these memories of your family. Please contact me so we can further discuss a payment plan that fits your needs.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT THE DAY OF MY SESSION?
My sessions take place on weekday mornings in my private studio. I have a comfortable sitting area for immediate family with snacks and refreshments, some small toys and activities for little ones as well as a private bathroom and dressing room. Sessions are always baby-led and allow for breaks for baby to eat and snuggle if needed. Baby Milestone sessions are shorter than newborn sessions (but still so sweet) and typically under an hour. Cake Smash sessions are more involved and are about an hour to hour and a half.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Wardrobe is the most important part so we work closely together in planning your session and ensuring that you feel prepared and excited. My client wardrobe is available to use with lots of beautiful baby clothes as well as dresses for mom. There is also wardrobe options for dads and siblings that you are more than welcome to use. You will receive a prep-guide prior to the session with favorite shops, personal styling tips and suggestions on colors and prints that I have found photograph best.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SESSION?
A sneak peek (or two!) will be posted on my social media pages within two weeks of the session. Your final downloadable gallery will be delivered via e-mail four weeks after your session along with access to my online shop of fine-art prints and professional products. It is through this exclusive shop where you will be able to spend your print credit. All of my Collections include a set number of digital images and a print credit. Additional digital images may be purchased through online shop. Your print credit may be used for prints, products or digital image files.
